Terms of Service

    These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and SBB Labs ("Company", "we", "us", or "our") governing your use of the Malii mobile application ("App") and the website at getmali.app ("Site"), collectively the "Services". By downloading, installing, or using Malii, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.

    1. Eligibility

    You must be at least 16 years old to use the Services. By using Malii, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement. If you are under the applicable age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may only use the Services with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian.

    2. License to Use the App

    Subject to your compliance with these Terms, SBB Labs grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download and use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control (including iPhone, iPad, and Mac), solely for your personal, non-commercial budgeting purposes. You may not sublicense, sell, resell, transfer, or otherwise exploit the App or any content accessed through the Services.

    3. Subscriptions and Auto-Renewal

    Malii is offered as a freemium service: a free tier with limits, and an optional Premium subscription with auto-renewable billing through Apple's In-App Purchase system. Prices are shown in the App Store for your region before you confirm a purchase (including any free trial). The following terms apply to any subscription you purchase:

    • Payment. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
    • Auto-Renewal. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of your selected plan.
    • Free Trial. If a free trial is offered, any unused portion of the free trial period will be forfeited when you purchase a Premium subscription. Only one free trial per Apple ID is permitted.
    • Price Changes. We may change subscription prices at any time. Price changes take effect at the start of the next billing period. Apple will notify you of any price change in advance.
    • Cancellation. You can manage and cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID account settings (Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions). Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you will continue to have access to Premium features until that date.
    • Refunds. All purchases are handled by Apple. Refund requests must be submitted directly to Apple via reportaproblem.apple.com. SBB Labs does not control Apple's refund decisions.

    Apple's standard End User License Agreement ("EULA") is incorporated into these Terms by reference and applies to your use of the App where not superseded by these Terms. Apple's EULA is available at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula.

    4. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to:

    • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
    • Use the Services for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable regulation.
    • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any system or network related to the Services.
    • Transmit any malware, viruses, or other harmful code.
    • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services.

    5. Intellectual Property

    The App, Site, and all content, features, and functionality (including but not limited to design, text, graphics, logos, and software) are and remain the exclusive property of SBB Labs and its licensors. These Terms do not grant you any right, title, or interest in the Services beyond the limited license described in Section 2. Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide to us may be used by SBB Labs without any obligation to you.

    6. Privacy

    Your use of the Services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using the Services, you consent to the data practices described in the Privacy Policy. Budget and transaction data you enter are stored on your device and, if you enable it, in your private iCloud.

    7. Disclaimer of Warranties

    THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. SBB LABS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICES WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. FINANCIAL DATA SHOWN IN THE APP IS FOR PERSONAL TRACKING PURPOSES ONLY AND DOES NOT CONSTITUTE FINANCIAL ADVICE. Malii is not a bank, financial advisor, or tax service.

    8. Limitation of Liability

    TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, SBB LABS AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICES. IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

    9. Third-Party Services

    The App is distributed through the Apple App Store. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these Terms and, upon your acceptance, will have the right (and will be deemed to have accepted the right) to enforce these Terms against you as a third-party beneficiary. SBB Labs, not Apple, is solely responsible for the App and its content.

    10. Termination

    We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at any time, with or without cause or notice, including if we believe you have violated these Terms. You may stop using the Services at any time. On termination, the license granted in Section 2 ends immediately and Sections 5, 7, 8, 11, and 12 will survive.

    11. Governing Law

    These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in a court of competent jurisdiction, as required by applicable law in your country of residence. Nothing in these Terms limits statutory rights you may have as a consumer.

    12. Changes to These Terms

    We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Services after changes become effective constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If a change is material, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you in advance (for example, via in-app notice or email).
